What to have ready
- Your city or neighborhood. Permit rules differ from city to city. See the city pages for local rules.
- What you want done: a new pour, a replacement, a repair, leveling or resurfacing. Not sure which? Use the service finder.
- A rough size. Length and width in feet is enough.
- Photos of the existing area, including any cracks, sunken sections or drainage problems.
- Access notes: gate width, slopes, and whether a truck can get close to the pour.
- Timing, including any deadline such as a home sale or listing date.
What the estimate covers
The estimate is based on what we see on site, not a per-square-foot guess. It covers removal of any old concrete, grading and base prep, slab thickness and reinforcement, drainage and slope, the finish you choose, and whether the work needs a permit. If a permit is needed, we say which agency issues it and help coordinate inspections.
To plan a budget before the visit, see the Seattle concrete cost guide, the driveway cost guide and the patio cost guide. For permits, start with the Seattle concrete permits hub. If you're collecting more than one bid, our guide on how to choose a concrete contractor lists what to compare, and the quote checklist shows what each bid should spell out.
Where we give estimates
We work across King, Snohomish, Pierce and Thurston counties: Seattle and its neighborhoods, Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Renton, Kent, Everett, Lynnwood, Edmonds, Tacoma, Puyallup, Olympia and the cities between. See all service areas. For commercial work such as loading docks and ramps or ADA ramps, use the same form and mention the property type.
Free estimate FAQs
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. The site visit and the estimate are free, and there's no obligation to book the work.
Can I get a price over the phone?
We can talk through rough ranges, and our cost guides list typical Seattle prices by project. A firm number needs a site visit, because access, slope, soil, removal of old concrete and permits all change the price.
Will the estimate tell me if I need a permit?
Yes. We check whether the work touches the public right-of-way, changes drainage, or crosses a grading or structural threshold, and we help coordinate permits and inspections when they're needed.
What areas do you serve?
King, Snohomish, Pierce and Thurston counties, from Seattle's neighborhoods to Bellevue, Everett, Tacoma, Olympia and the cities between.
Do you estimate commercial work?
Yes. Along with driveways and patios, we estimate loading docks and ramps, ADA ramps, machine pits and grade beams.
